    Edgeworth Economics is an economic, financial, and quantitative consulting firm that provides economic analysis and expert testimony for clients facing complex litigations involving antitrust, mergers and acquisitions, class certification, labor, intellectual property, transfer pricing, and complex commercial damages. Our clients include law firms, Fortune 500 companies, and government agencies.

     

    We are seeking an Executive Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative support to the CEO of Edgeworth Economics in the Washington, DC office.  This position requires a professional, highly motivated, organized individual capable of functioning in a fast-paced and challenging professional services environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively as a team, are required. 

    Responsibilities

    • Administrative and Day-to-Day Support
      • Maintains CEO’s calendars and schedules (MS Outlook)
      • Coordinates and schedules travel for CEO as needed; creates and maintains itineraries for all travel arrangements and proactively manages travel
      • Schedules meetings, conference calls, or other events
      • Identifies and tracks anticipated events, meetings, and appointments for the CEO 
      • Receives, places, and screens telephone calls with professionalism, sound judgment, and responsiveness
      • Develops and maintains excellent relationships with all of the CEO’s constituencies 
      • Manages, reviews, and submits expense reports for CEO with the highest level of accuracy and integrity 
      • Identifies opportunities to improve workflow and task management for the CEO
      • Assists with the receipt and delivery of ad hoc items and completes errands and tasks as requested 
      • Offers support to the Partners and Executive Administrative Assistant as needed 
    • Document Preparation
      • Drafts and proofreads memos, proposals, and other presentations 
      • Responds to routine correspondence
      • Assists with research, preparation, and coordination for new client pitches
      • Creates and circulates retention letters as needed, maintain protective orders 
    • Record and File Maintenance
      • Maintains hard copy and electronic files for various projects and CEO-related items
      • Maintains an organization system for CEO’s files, notes, and documents

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of executive assistant experience reporting directly to senior management, preferably in legal or related professional service industry with a mid- to large-sized organization
    • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Able to deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating and responding to CEO’s needs
    • Prioritizes and organizes work activities as needed to efficiently complete tasks and accomplish desired results
    • Effectively communicates with others by obtaining and sharing information in a clear, concise and timely manner
    • Conducts oneself in a highly professional and credible manner; exhibits confidence, integrity and composure in all work engagements, interactions, and assignments
    • Maintains the highest level of professional, decorum, and integrity while handling highly sensitive and confidential information
    • Meets the professional standards held by the organization with internal and external customers
    • Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as conducts oneself in a professional manner and effectively escalates decisions to the CEO as needed
    • Takes a disciplined and conscientious approach to completing work; pays close attention to details and delivers high-quality results, and is able to work effectively in a team
    • Is self-disciplined and proactively resolves issues, anticipates CEO’s needs, and meets deadlines
    • Applies critical thinking and sound judgement to solve problems and select the best course of action in each situation
